Dixie is a lawyer and a yoga instructor. She owns both Newnam Land LLP and Orange Moon Yoga. In her carreer she has been priveledged to help many women discover balance in many areas of their lives.
With a passion for helping women look and feel amazing from the inside out, Yvette has been in the skincare industry for nearly 30 years. She has advanced training in the latest clinical skin-care treatments to help others achieve better skin health and appearance. She is the owner of The Med Spa, a laser, skin and injectable boutique in Wimberley.
Elaine began to develop her own unique aesthetic sparked by family vacations, especially international and Mediterranean travels. She was swept away by the effortless, laidback luxury of island living. “I remember being awestruck as I watched my mother on the beach with her oversized hats, bags, and sunglasses—she epitomized elegance and beauty to me. Now Elaine Turner designs are recognized around the globe.
HGTV’s Abby Vasek has an energetic approach to speaking & design that comes from a passion to encourage and inspire people to live their biggest, best, most beautiful life! She’s an expert in Interior Design, Marketing, and “Juicing your Creativity!”
Tracey White takes pride in being able to find the right Texas Health Plan for families and individuals. She has worked in the insurance business since 2012 when she returned from college to build a career in her community.

Dr. Hilda Carpenter
Dr. Hilda Carpenter, PhD, retired from her executive coaching firm and moved to Driftwood, TX. She worked with the top executives in High Tech, and coached upward bound women. Hilda volunteers as a producer at Wimberley Valley Radio and hosts her own radio show, The Rural Genius.
JPam is the President & Owner of Two P’s & Calli’s Boutique, an upscale ladies fashion & accessories destination located in San Marcos Texas. Pam’s daughter, Calli, joined her Mom in business after graduating from high school and the two of them have created a highly successful destination place for ladies of all ages. Their business philosophy is simple….create the most wonderful experience for their loyal customers.
Sarita Maritnez, a CPA by trade, spent 32 years at a Big 4 accounting firm. She was an Executive Director specializing in International Tax Accounting for multinational companies. Sarita has always had a heart for women and has been a philathropic leader in many initiatives. Now she wants to equip women with sound financial knowledge so they do not have to fear.
Patty has traveled all over the world and raised four children, in addition to being an entrepreneur. She and Joyce opened Las Dos Hermanas and designed and imported custom furniture from Mexico.
Jennifer Morris earned her BFA and MA in Art Education, at the University of North Texas. Her 36 years of professional experience include teaching art and epistemology at the high school level (Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate), adjunct professor at the University of North Texas, workshop and Texas Art Education Association conference presenter, museum education consultant, and contributing author of a national secondary art textbook, The Visual Experience.
Laura Sajbel currently teaching English and Humanities courses at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Laura has published fiction, poetry, nonfiction articles, and has authored two books, Pow Wows and Potlucks (2015, Ethnographics Press) and Buoyant (2013, Red Wheelbarrow Press). She teaches “Life Stories as Heirlooms” in public spaces, to encourage ordinary people to capture their extraordinary experiences for posterity.
Peggy Tidwell, author of All In For Life, is passionate about creating stories about good people who make bad decisions and then mop up their messes on the way to happily ever. All her stories include Texas settings, dogs, and a redemptive theme where second chances find happy endings.
After retiring, Sara Thurman began to dream about creating to support her passion of giving to missionaries all over the world. She started painting with watercolors and quickly moved to painting with acrylic on both canvas and wood with subjects of angels, churches, and florals, and has also created a stationary line with her

Jodi began her marketing and public relations career in 2008 just as the rise in social networking began. During her career, she has led social media marketing and digital advertising campaigns for an internationally recognized nonprofit, award-winning musicians, digital media publishers and tourist destinations. Lesley Islas is the head of Child Development at Hays Consolidated ISD. She is an advocate for equipping children so that they are prepared for the challenges they will face in life and overcome.
Denise Jackson has been a high school teacher, an entrepreneur and a corporate executive. She has worked with the largest companies in the world and the smallest businesses you can imagine. She is passionate about giving women opportunities to shine all their lives.
Julie is a teacher, motivator, and overseer of Cultivate Workshops. Cultivate uses the arts as a tool for spirit-to-spirit connection leading to increased faith and freedom of expression. Julie considers herself a “student teacher” and loves to share life’s lessons with other women.

Mary Francis "MF" Johnson
Mary Francis (MF) Johnson is committed to her family and her community. Through her dedicated effort, Wimberley has schools, a library, and a community center. She has fought for the spirit of Wimberley, simplicity and caring, to always guide this community. Through her own tragedy she grew stronger and is a leader in every sense.
Karen Myers was a senior executive in the women’s apparel business. After serving in major corporate positions, she owned her own business and facilitated strategic business planning for profit and not for profit organizations. She is now happily retired in Wimberley.
Maria is an Author, Radio and Television Personality, Journalist, spokesperson, reporter, public speaker, entrepreneur and most importantly, Mom. At her core – she’s a storyteller, a communicator. Her first book, The Empowered Mom will be available to the public in August. Earlier this year, Maria was featured in the book, Behind Her Brand. And she is putting the finishing touches on a parenting book called, “How to Talk to Your Kids When Tragedy Strikes” and “The Empowered Mom. Your Must-Have Guide: From Powerless to Empowered & Kicking A**”.
Ann Rolling raised four children. And then her life changed. Emily Ann Theater and Gardens was born from tragedy and has impacted the Wimberley community and beyond with joy and vision. Through a community theater, amazing dedication gardens, the Trail of Lights and the Butterfly Festival, Ann and her husband Norm and many volunteers they have created a sanctuary for tens of thousands over the past 20 years.
Sandi Running was employed by the Houston Police Department for almost 30 years. During her career, she worked as a Patrol Officer, Undercover Officer, Detective and held several positions on FBI and ATF Task forces. Surprisingly, the most challenging yet rewarding role was that of wife and mother. After she retired from the Police Department, she obtained her Real Estate License and worked as a Realtor in Houston for five years. At this moment she is happily retired and spending her time bonding with my family and friends.
